Who we are?

IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.

IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects

During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

The Fund Raiser is responsible for raise the awareness of donors about IDA activities, challenges and plans in the areas IDA is operating, through upgrading the level of relation with IDA existing and new donors. The main goal of this position is to build IDA capacity to be able to reach the international partners and main donors by a comprehensive mechanism and strategy. The hired Senior Grants Coordinator should have good understanding, relations and experience with ECHO, USAID and other donors grants requirements.

· leading resource mobilization efforts to meet annual growth targets and support the diversification of revenue from institutional donors and non-traditional funding sources to achieve IDA objectives.

· Developing and implementing a fundraising plan for IDA which will achieve the goals for sustainable funding, the development of projects, and delivery of core operations;

· Acquiring and developing a strong partnership network together with other members of IDA staff, stakeholders and relevant contacts;

· Identifying and developing suitable fundraising opportunities fit with IDA mandate and needs in the field

· Support in developing project/programs proposals, budgets and other needed documents for the new potential donors.

· Accurately monitoring fundraising progress and producing quality reports for internal and external parties when required;

· Expanding IDA network through the development of new and beneficial relationships;

· Contributing to IDA promotional articles and publications to raise awareness of the work and IDA’s aims;

· Motivating and facilitating supporters to maximize the funds they raise

He/ She will work closely with IDA grants management team to enhance;

· Maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters

· Creating a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors

· Conducting fundraising strategies for IDA

· Conducting research for prospective donors

· Identifying and contacting potential donors

· Organizing campaigns or events that will lead to soliciting donations

· Maintaining records of donor information for future use

· Evaluating the success of previous fundraising events

· Updating IDA key staff members worldwide with fund procedures and practices

Ensuring that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in a management position
  • Work experience in NGOs at least 5 years
  • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel (database and spreadsheet) and PowerPoint.
  • English mandatory (oral and written), Arabic or Turkish are an assist

  • Strong organizational, coordination skills and transfer of knowledge and initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to team work
  • Ability to work under high pressure and without constant supervision A university degree in one of the administrative functions.
