Turkey: Graphic & GIS Officer

• Contract type: Local, full-time consultant
• Base: MECS office, Gaziantep - Turkey
• Reporting to: Program Quality Manager, Reporting Manager

Objectives of the position

• Produce visual communications, information design, and data visualization support to a wide range of services contracted by external clients, internal marketing efforts, and business development engagements.
• Manage the creation of infographics, presentations, and publications, including data visualization, GIS, graphics design, and publication design.
• Advise on data visualization, helping internal team members at MECS to visualize and communicate complex data sets, challenges, and solutions.
• Mainstream responsibility and accountability for the completion and accuracy of work products.
• Manage expertise through daily interaction with peers in the office and remotely.
• Work in a vibrant, fast-paced position that requires strong workload management and the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

• Fluent English skills (C1 or above), both oral and written. Fluency in Arabic is an asset;
• 3+ years of experience with graphics design, data visualization, GIS and design techniques and theory
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Tableau, Photoshop
• Ability to collect raw data from various sources and develop designs, visualizations, and presentations
• Excellent skills in structuring high-quality reports (>80 pages)
• Operative knowledge of Tableau, SPSS, and of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Good familiarity with Excel and mathematical skills
• Previous, proven excellent portfolio showcasing broad design expertise
• Self–starter and multitask across multiple projects in a fast–paced and team–based environment
• Priority will be given to individuals residing in Turkey;
