Job Title: Senior Grant Management Officer (SGMO)
Division/Department: Development
Reports to: Grants Manager
Line Management Responsibilities: None
Duration of Initial Contract**:** Full-time/ 12 Months, with possibility for extension
Work Location: Gaziantep-TURKEY, with possibility of internal & external traveling (2-3 times per year)
Under the direct supervision of the Grants Manager, the Senior Grants Management Officer (SGMO) will be responsible for the following:
Duties, Responsibilities and Tasks:
· Act as primary contact and focal person for the Grants Management Unit.
· In close collaboration with the GM, develop strategic targets, Key Performance Indicators for the Grants Management unit/staff.
· Ensure grants/partnership policy is updated on a regular basis.
· Responsible for portfolio management (as assigned) in line with donor compliance and B&Z regulations/processes.
· In coordination with the GM and alongside the Finance, Technical, Operation, HR and M&E take the lead on developing new projects, in accordance with the organization strategy.
· Undertake due diligence on the viability of potential new partnerships.
· Maintain and develop working relationships with existing donors and explore opportunities to renew potential partnerships in line with the programme priorities.
· Take the lead in developing capacity building plan for the inter-departmental staff, in accordance with the donor requirements and organization standards to ensure high quality of delivery.
· Carry out a detailed donor mapping (in an agreed format with CDO/GM), to identify potential donors for funding and partnerships, in line with B&Z’s strategic targets.
· Organize and facilitate the planning / kick-off meetings for new projects, in collaboration with Operations, Technical Managers, Finance, HR and M&E departments/units.
· develop required documentation for the department, including templates, schedules and overview documentation;
· Work closely with the CDO / GM to ensure that all partnership opportunities conform to B&Z and in-country law and regulations.
· To undertake other duties as required by GM.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor or Master degree in Human/Social Sciences (International relations/communications), English literature or NGO development or any other related discipline.
· Minimum of 3-5 year of experience in proposal-writing and grants management.
· Minimum of 3-5 years working with a reputable non-governmental organization.
Required Skills:
· Very Good knowledge of Programs system procedures in Humanitarian Organizations.
· Very Good knowledge of main donors’ regulations and procedures (DFID, ECHO, USAID).
· Excellent Proposal writing, partnerships and Humanitarian principles knowledge and skills.
· Excellent level of oral and written in English Languages, Turkish and/or Arabic are preferable.
· Advanced computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Very Good knowledge of cloud & data sharing applications (Google drive, Dropbox…).
· Superior social, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
· Capability to multi-task.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to analyze data and to think critically. Ability and willingness to work overtime and on weekends (when necessary).
