Originally founded by a group of Syrian volunteers in March of 2012, KP has since grown to become an officially registered NGO in Turkey. Our headquarters are based out of ANKARA- Turkey and the Operation office in Antakya -Turkey with many warehouses and satellite branches throughout Syria.

Purpose of the positionThe Finance Coordinator is responsible for all financial functions, including accounting, payments and banking, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Finance Coordinator ensures compliance with donor and official regulations and provides timely reports and assistance to official agencies and donors in coordination with the Executive Director to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
*Primary Responsibilities of this position:***
Monitor the day-to-day accounting operations and financial support in accordance with Turkish official agencies, donors and KP internal policies and procedures,
Ensure required preapprovals are secured in advance of incurring an expense,
Prepare proper logistics and financial reporting to aid in tracking and reconciliation of transactions,
Maintain accurate financial transactions, grants and contracts records using the accounting software,
Work closely with Turkish chartered accountant to ensure compliance with Turkish law,
Assist programs staff and finance department in meeting donors and internal reporting requirements,
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for submission to official agencies and donor or as needed on or before the deadlines,
Support Finance Department in other finance-related tasks, such as researches on financial compliance topics, accounting for procurement transactions and maintenance of accurate financial transactions records,
Work with programs and logistics staffs to ensure the coordination of projects are within budgeted targets, *
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
· University degree in accounting or business Administration; preferably a Master’s degree.
· Professional certificates such as CMA, CPA or any other certificates is an asset.
· 5+ years of relevant work experience.
· 2+ years Previous experience working for NGOs.
· Extensive experience in working with computerized accounting systems, preferably Quickbooks.
· Ability to train staff on finance technical issues.
· Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decision independently.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Strong computer skills. Fluency in English and Arabic
