Role Purpose:
MHGAP person will be responsible for supporting the integration of mental health into primary health care service delivery in the detention centers in line with the standard MHGAP Intervention Guidelines, he/she will work towards building the capacity of MHPSS staff by providing them with training and supervision according to IASC guidelines.
-Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conducting supervision sessions for MHGAP doctors.
· Provide consulting to MHGAP doctors when needed.
· Provide joint on the job mentorship and supervision of trained mental health staff and volunteer
· Documentation of supervision sessions and evaluation of the work of doctors during the supervision phase
· Coordination with the supervisor of PSWs.
· Supervising the referral of cases between PSWs and MHGAP doctors.
· Provide a monthly report on the technical supervision of the MHPSS officer and project manager.
Any other duties assigned by line manager when required.
-Qualifications, Experiences and Competencies:
· University degree in Psychiatry
· A minimum of five years of experience in psychotherapy as a psychiatrist
· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing training materials and writing reports and manuals.
· Good experience as a supervisor and a trainer of the MHGAP methodology
· Experience and skills in facilitating training sessions
· Good working skills on (Excel - Word - Kobo)
· Good knowledge of mental health and psychological support guidelines in emergency (IACS)
· Ability to take initiative and work without supervision. · Excellent communication skills
. Diplomatic Very good in English and Arabic
