Role Purpose:
Under the hierarchical supervision of the Programs Director and Protection Coordinator in Turkey, you will provide technical support and guidance to the whole MHPSS and PS team in the development and the implementation of mental health and psycho-social support activities. You will also contribute to the development of operational strategies for Turkey and Syria.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support Psychological support workers in health care centers
- Identify training needs of the team and partners team in terms of PSS and community-based programming, and develop the capacity building plan
- Provide training and coaching to the team and partner’s staff;

- In collaboration with MHGAP Supervisor, promote an integrated approach to the programs both in Syria and Turkey.
- Conduct a needs assessment in the MHPSS centers to provide a diagnosis and propose a capacity-building plan for the program teams
- Write assessment, evaluation and surveys reports and make the necessary recommendations
- Design, assess and evaluate appropriate community-based psycho-social activities
- Assist in developing quality control (appropriate methodologies, data collection techniques for assessments, indicators, and evaluations) of community-based psycho-social activities.
- Organize and conduct case discussions and other supervision activities to provide support and guidance to the field teams ensuring the quality of services delivered.
- Develop a system for staff well-being that includes staff care, caring for each other and how to improve the staff working environment.
- Following up the quality of service of all activities.
- Following up and support Mental Health Center Team.
- Provide technical support in designing programs of Community Health activities
- Representing SEMA in meetings Any other duties assigned by line manager when required
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies:
- A university degree in a Sociology or Counseling psychology.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position and duties in NGOs or INGOs
- Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
- People management skills that include diplomacy
- Ability to work with diverse people, communities, and cultures, with an understanding of cultural awareness practices.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent skills in English and Arabic
