where it started its activities in the city of Aleppo north of Syria and was licensed in turkey in 2014

Job Title: Education Project Coordinator

Location: Gaziantep-Turkey
Job purpose:
To be responsible directly from the implementation of Bonyan’s education project, and in close cooperation and communication with Provincial National Education Directorate and school administrations, to work towards prevention of early dropouts among Syrian refugee children in Gaziantep.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee day to day project activities
Ensure that the project progresses in line with the activity plan and budget
Work closely with focal points of PNED and in schools to plan and implement project activities
Assign tasks to education project staff for problem-solving and follow-up on progress of education activities
Supervise community outreach work and develop working relationship with PNED staff
Represent the organization in relevant platforms as needed
Ensure that activities and progress are documented, and project activities reports are prepared periodically
Contribute in the development of new education project proposals through contextual knowledge
Prepare and provide necessary briefings on project to school management and PNED personnel
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, or any relevant area
Requirements:
At least 2 years of professional experience with a humanitarian organization in education or child protection
Turkish nationality
Experience and knowledge about Turkish education system and processes
Language: Native Turkish speaker. Fluency in English or Arabic is a distinct advantage.
Skills:
Excellent communication, reporting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
Willingness to contribute to the expansion of a dedicated, multicultural organization
Good team player, capable of working with a multicultural team and culturally sensitive
Ability to cope with stress; work under pressure often to strict deadlines
Flexibility, adaptability, sense of humor, and patience
