Job Summary:
Basmeh and Zeitooneh is looking to recruit Information Management Assistants**
Job Title: Information Management Assistant **
Division/Department: Operations/ Projects
Reports to: Information Management Consultant/Syria Project Coordinator
Duration of Initial Contract: Full-time/ 6 Months with possibility for extension
Work Location: Gaziantep, TURKEY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Updating the services on the service map and contacting other humanitarian actors to add their services and advertisements.
The IM assistant will update the information received by the organization and HFOs on a daily/weekly basis using data collection software.
Processing services data provided by organization and HFOs on the application’s control panel.
Review the data for any deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and verify the output.
Search and complete for missing documents
Ensuring that work is safely stored in specified locations and perform backup operations.
Communicate with the focal points to update the services on the service map.
Communicate with the humanitarian actors to update the services on the service map.
Follow-up with the new services on the service map.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Master’s degree (or Bachelors Degree with additional 2 years of experience if no Masters qualification) in information technology, information systems, information management, web development, database, GIS or other relevant field.
Experience:
3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in information management, database management, Mapping and web development. Former working experience on the Syria crisis and humanitarian assistance to Syria or work experience with a UN agency or NGO providing assistance to Syria is required.
Language:
· Fluent English and Arabic
Required Skills:
· Proven skills in infographic management
· Experience in the use of computers and office software packages and handling of web based management systems.
· Proven abilities in data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting with ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral communication;
· Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within an environment where many interruptions occur.
· Ability to work with multi-cultural teams and international professionals;
· Availability and fitness for travel;
· Ability to work under pressure.
