Turkey: National GBV Manager

  • Lead assessments to identify protection risks, map points of service for survivors of GBV and vulnerable individuals, and identify points of entry and support structures for reinforcement;
  • Analyze trends of GBV and develop/adjust program strategies to meet needs;
  • Support the expatriate manager in designing program concept notes and proposals;
  • Build capacity of psychosocial workers to offer appropriate referral and support to GBV survivors;
  • Develop and strengthen GBV referral systems;
  • Develop protocols for information collection and sharing;
  • Train GBV staff to become leaders of GBV prevention and response. Trainings include: guiding principles of addressing GBV, GBV case management, community mobilization toward prevention of GBV;
  • Train other program staff to integrate guiding principles and risk mitigation into various sector interventions;
  • Support trainings for healthcare providers, as needed;
  • Coordinate with religious leaders and women's associations to strengthen support and information networks;
  • Compile regular program reports and data;
  • Establish and/or maintain community-based activities for women in all determined project locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational background in Social Science, International Relations, Law, Social Work/Psychology, or other related field;
  • Understanding of emergency response and four years of relevant professional experience, including experience in gender, GBV, Women’s Empowerment or protection programming;
  • Strong management experience and ability to work well with a team;
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training and of group facilitation;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to protection issues, including application of the principle of confidentiality;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment;
  • Extremely strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues;
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative reporting skills;
  • Strong problem-solving and innovation to address gaps and challenges;
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce timely and high quality of work;
  • Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability;
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives;
  • Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA);
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English.
