BINAA is looking for a finance officer, based in Gaziantep/Turkey, to following and review all payments and expenditures under projects and prepare monthly financial reports and ensure all their supporting documents are prepared, completed, and archived.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check and review daily expenses and payments for project
- Check and review monthly payroll, timesheets, prepare salary slips
- Prepare, check, print, sign, archive and complete all entries related to monthly banks reconciliation.
- Prepare, print, sign, send, archive monthly financial reports and ensure all their supporting documents are prepared, completed and archived.
- Collect all documents related to the financial reports and send them to the donors.
- Follow up with the donors to ensure closing of all notes.
- Complete monthly projection and payment requests from donors. This includes preparing, printing, signing, sending, and archiving these requests.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
A. Essential:**
- BA in Accounting.
- A minimum of two years experience in a similar position.
- Intermediate skills in the English language.
B. Desirable
- Pre-intermediate skills in the Turkish language.
- Experience in humanitarian work and principles.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Basic level of knowledge of general entries.
- Basic level of knowledge in QuickBooks Accounting systems
- Basic level of knowledge of Building & maintaining charts of accounts.
- Advanced level in Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Advanced level in documenting & archiving financial documents.
- Advanced level of knowledge of financial supporting documents.
- Advanced level of petty cash management.
- Advanced knowledge of supplier’s payments principles.
- Advanced level of banking and cash reconciliation.
- Basic level in preparing financial reports.
- Basic level in financial report analysis.
- Basic level in budgeting.
- Basic knowledge of cost allocation.
- Basic level of financial Records management.
- Basic level of payroll management.
- Basic level in legal accounting principles.
