Job Description:
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Project Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all components of the project under his/her responsibility and to meet the project’s targets and key performance indicators.
Oversee all aspects of the project implementation and methods of follow-up in accordance with the donor agreement
Contribute to writing internal and donor-reports (monthly, quarterly, annually), ensuring the quality and accuracy of information and reports are drafted on time according to the internal review process
Prepare, follow, and update work-plans for line managers
Support and provide guidance to line managers related to project implementation
Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the project
Responsible for performance management
Work with finance and logistics team to procure project supplies within project budgets and according to agreed-upon work plans to ensure proper implementation
Advocate and plan for professional development for all subordinate staff as needed
Maintain the relationship with key stakeholder in the project location, contribute to the creation of a positive image and long-term credibility of the organization
Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics
Promote capacity building of the team
Required Skills and Experience
Graduate degree in social sciences, psychology, economics, management, or any related field
Previous working experience in team management and project implementation
Previous experience in the field of gender based violence and women empowerment is an asset
Excellent spoken and written skills in Turkish, very good spoken and written skills in English
Any other language skills, such as Arabic or Kurdish, is an asset
PC proficiency, including Word processing (MS Word or equivalent) and excellent skills on spread sheets MS Excel
Flexibility in responding to urgent needs and tasks
Ability to prioritize work and to meet tight deadlines
Rigorous Management of Performance for Success
Negotiation skills
Attention to details and cultural differences and contexts
Prior knowledge of the region an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Respectful and supportive team player
