Job Summary:
The position will be based in Adana. Under the supervision of the Case Management Officer, the Case Management Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work with Khayr colleagues to identify and register clients requiring case management assessment
- Support the Case Management volunteers and community focal points to aware of criteria and process for identification and registration of case management clients eligible for assessment
- Receive registration forms, and register urgent cases through the protection hotline.
Record registered cases in the case management database in a timely fashion.
Undertake rapid and detailed assessment for clients after registration
Conduct rapid and detailed case assessments as scheduled by the Case Management Officer, in line with agreed standard operating procedures and using agreed tools/forms.
Record relevant assessment information in the case management database in a timely fashion.
Prepare intervention plans and case summaries for cases following detailed assessment
With support of the Case Management Officer, develop case intervention plans with clients which will improve the capacity and alleviate the vulnerability of the individual/household.
Write case summaries which contain all the relevant details of the case, for presentation to the Case Committee for review and decision-making on appropriate and possible response
Undertake distribution of items procured through the Special Needs Fund in accordance with standard operating procedures
Distribute items procured through the Special Needs Fund for approved cases, in accordance with approved standard operating procedures.
Ensure that all procurement and distribution documentation is completed to a high standard.
Record relevant Special Needs Fund support information in the case management database in a timely fashion.
Provide case follow-up until cases can responsibly considered to be closed
Undertake appropriate follow-up of cases to ensure that needs are met and satisfaction levels are appropriate.
Update information/documentation as necessary and ensure that progress is logged in the case management database.
Contribute to high quality implementation of Khayr responseEnsure that protection activities are compliant with Khayr accountability principles and general protection and case management principles.
Ensure that all case management information is thoroughly documented, with due consideration of confidentiality and data protection principles.
Maintain highly organized case management hard copy files and update the case management database on a regular basis.
Report internally to the Case Management Officer on weekly and monthly achievements.
Work with Monitoring colleagues to ensure that appropriate monitoring activities are undertaken to a high standard.
Provide feedback for improving the quality of assessment and activities.
Any other duties as agreed with the Line Manager
Position Requirements:
- Fluent spoken and written Arabic
- Very good spoken and written English
- Team player who is able to work collaboratively and with people of diverse backgrounds and cross-culturally
- Work/voluntary experience with a NGO
- Experience of community-based or social work
- Strong planning, inter-personal and communication skills
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn from others
- Very good computer skills, especially in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Experience of social work and/or implementing protection activities
- Experience with case management
